Our CEO Florian Wagner is now part of the Supervisory Board of Joanneum Research – one of Austria’s leading research companies with international appeal. This additional task fills him with great gratitude and also with curiosity about what can be achieved together.
What background does he have?
Over the past two decades, he has been able to build up interdisciplinary expertise at the interface of research, energy, medical technology and FinTech. In his role as CEO of Emerald Horizon AG, he and his team work on visionary technologies such as the ADES energy concept, innovative salt storage systems, PV systems and particle accelerators, which are used in both energy and cancer therapy.
He also created Qbasis Invest GmbH in 2006, a platform for financial technology research and alternative investments – including the development of an AI-supported immune system model for system stabilization on the financial markets.
And: His technical background as a militia officer in telecommunications technology has shown him how crucial IT security and communication infrastructure are in any innovation process.
He is convinced that this combination of practical implementation expertise and strategic future orientation will be valuable in advancing the great research and development work at JOANNEUM RESEARCH.
He is looking forward to the synergy effect that can be generated together – between applied research, corporate practice, the Emerald Horizon AG project and courageous future design.
