The European Commission has published a “fitness check” of the EU framework for security of gas supply and electricity risk-preparedness-two core regulations that predate the 2021-23 energy shock and are now being prepared for revision, with Commission proposals planned for the first half of 2026.

What this means in practice: resilience is moving from “nice to have” to a core infrastructure requirement – with stronger preparedness, coordination, and real operational capability during disruptions.

At Emerald Horizon AG, that’s exactly where we deliver value – as troubleshooters today and gamechangers for tomorrow:

✅ DUALstore Plus – modular hybrid storage built to scale – CALstore: high-temperature molten-salt thermal storage (5 MWh heat) to balance oversupply and deliver heat on demand – Estore: modular electricity storage (5 MWh) to release power when it matters-supporting stability and value creation.

✅ ADES – a 25 MW(th) accelerator-driven, thorium-based, subcritical energy source designed for carbon-free, secure, scalable heat (convertible to electricity or hydrogen), with a non-criticality regulatory pathway approach.

If you’re planning resilience upgrades across industry and commercial sites, municipalities and districts, utilities and grids, data centers, hospitals and care facilities, logistics hubs, or public infrastructure – let’s connect.
